✘ application process
as mentioned in the application itself, we are currently allowing three applications total per celebrity (or two challenges per application). for the first few weeks we will only be asking for examples if there's a challenge; otherwise, no examples are currently necessary. it should also be noted that when we're looking at challenges, we will be looking at examples along with your activity up to the point of adds, including commenting other applications, responding to the comments in your friends only post, and pimping in rps. if for some reason you aren't able to be active prior to adds because of your work/school schedule or holiday obligations, simply drop us a comment in the screened post and let us know and we won't hold it against you should there be a challenge. before applying, please make sure you've read everything here, that you have at least one icon uploaded, that you have a friends only post that's public for people to comment on, and that you have either an aim name or a screened post for contact purposes (we prefer both).
✘ golden rule
technically, this is kind of cheating because there are two golden rules at play here. the first (the golden rule of rp) is to keep ic and ooc separate. hopefully this doesn't need further elaboration but your feelings about someone or their portrayal ooc should absolutely never bleed into ic interactions. the second (the general golden rule) is to treat others how you'd like to be treated. we will have a very low tolerance for harrassment and bullying, whether anonymously or not. please, just be nice to one another! membres who show a pattern of bullying others will be warned or removed/banned, depending on the individual cases.
✘ updating
we know a lot of people take issue with the standard three week update requirement, so here at crowd we are going to attempt to be a little more flexible and creative. the baseline requirement is an update once every three weeks, but for now we're not setting a minimum word requirement and just hope that you'll put some creativity or effort into it rather than just a one liner so we don't have to change that at a later date. there will also be a points system and/or substitutions for active members to take advantage of; further information will follow. we also will be allowing our particularly busy members to utilize hiatuses and extensions if they can't get to their computers or need to take a break for awhile.
✘ activity
as we stated above, we know that a lot of people aren't comfortable with or think ti's unrealistic to have your celebrity be writing a 300+ word update every three weeks and that's understandable, but we will indeed be politely asking you to be active in other ways. this includes commenting around, posting in the subcommunities, welcoming new members through their friends only posts, and signing onto aim or being involved in your customs (or both!). of course, you don't need to constantly be doing all of the above, but just show that you're interested in keeping this place lively and we'll be happy to have you as a member. we'd also like to add that we intend to be a very activity-friendly community, and will be facilitating a large number of both mod and member run fun things to do, including but not limited to members of the week, movie or game nights, question posts, community chats, and maybe even the occasional group scene.
